The results of the analysis, which are set forth in a separate report, show that this spirit is of good strength, practically free from acidity, and that it contains but traces of solid matter in solution. It possesses a delicate and agreeable aroma, and a pure and mild taste. Mr Hart's Sohiedam Schnapps la a very superior article of its class, is well purified, and quite genuine, (Signed) ARTHUR H. Hknki J. Hart, Esq. I have the honor to report for your information that the sample of Imp 'rial Schiedam Schnapps forwarded by you to me has been submitted to a searching chemical analysis and critical examination, the result of which enables me to state that it is the finest sample of Schnapps that has yet come under my notice. It has a pure fragrant odour, and Is absolutely free from any trace of fusil oil or other injurious impurity, and has evidently been distilled from superior rye grain, always used Instead of malt in the production of the choicest qualities of Schnapps. It is very smooth to the palato, and in this respect compares favourably with other samples offered for sa'e. It may be advised ad equally suitable for medical or economic purposes. I have the honor to be, &c, (t Igned) WM. JOHNSON Analytic ii Chemist to the Government of Viotoria. This pure medical spirit, superior to any lu the market, and lower in price, is offered to the public under the full conviction that it will supersede all others now in use.
