London, 9th May, 1877. REPORT OM A SAMPLE op IMPERIAL SCHIEDAM SCHNAPPS Received fbom Mb H. J. Hart. VST7 E have subjected a sample of the f * above-named article to a very careful chemical analysis and examination. The results of the analysis, which are set forth in a separate report show that this spirit is of good strength, practically free from acidity, and that it contains but traces of solid matter in solution. It possesses a delicate and agreeable aroma, and a pure and mild taste. Mr Hart’s Schiedam Schnapps is a very superior article of its class, is well purified, and quite genuine, (Signed) ARTHU H H. WM. JOHNSON’S REPORT. Government Analytical Laboratory, Melbourne, 23rd July, 1877. Henri J. Hart, Esq. I have the honor to report for your information that tha sample of Imperial Schiedam Schnapps forwarded by you to me has been submitted to a searching chemical analysis and critical examination, tho result of which enables me to state that it is the finest sample of Schnapps that has yet come under my notice. It has a pure fragrant odour, and is absolutely free from any trace of fusil oil or other injurious impurity, and has evidently been distilled from superior rye grain, always used instead of malt in the production of the choicest qualities of Schnapps. It is very smooth to tho palate, and in this respect compares favourably with other samples offered for sale. It may bo advised as equally suitable for medical or economic purposes. I have the honor to bo, &0., (Signed) WM. JOHNSON. Analytical Chemist to the Government of Victoria. This pure medical spirit, superior to any in the market, and lower La price, is offered to the public under the full conviction that it will supersede all others now in use. A TRIAL IS EARNESTLY SOLICITED. WILSON, BAWTBLL & CO., MERCHANTS, 75M Ayent* for Chrlntohnrnh. Mailway Signal Code OF NEW ZEALAND. One whistle signifies—“ I own breaks.” Two whistles signifiy —“ Off breaks.” Three whistles signify —“Back up.” Continued whistles signify—“ Danger.” Rapid short whistles signify'—“A cattle alarm.” A sweeping parting of the hands on level of tho eyes signifies —“ Go ahead.” Downward motion of the hands, with extended arms, signifies—“ Stop.” A forward and downward motion of both hands signifies that you are to go for the bottom shilling in your pocket and buy your wife a set of the famous EKBERG’S SEWING MACHINE HK'MMERB (Four widths) AND A DRE S S BINDER. If you have neither wife nor bemmera, then get both as soon as possible, for they are handy to have in the house. N.B.- In either case be sure you get tho genuine article, supplied on application to the VICTORIA SEWING MACHINE DEPOT. yttIAJNGWS, HIGH STREET, m
