•— CHRISTCHURCF. Wednesday, August 7th. [Before Q-. L. MdhYh, Esq , R. M.] Dkunkbnnkss.—W. H. Meikleham was fined 10s. Bridget Femck was fined 40s. Larceny.—Thomas Mallinson was charged with stealing from the Golden Age a swag, valued at £3, the property of Charli s Evans. He admitted his guilt, but pleaded " the iufluence of drink." Sergeant Morrico informed the Bench that prisoner had just come out of goal. He was sent back to gaol for three months with hard labor.

LYTTELTON. Wednesday, August 7th, 1878. [Before W. Donald, Esq., R.M.] Drunk and Disorderly.—Thos. Dolimore, a seaman, belonging to the Soukar, was sentenced to forty-eight hour's imprisonment.

TRANSFER of License. —The license of the Albion Hotel was transferred from Robt. Anderson to A. H. Hardwicke.- r

Alleson v Newton, claim for £3 3s rent and possession of tenement j judgment for amount claimed, defendant ordered to give up possession on 12th. F. King vC. Allen, claim £2 lis 8d for board and lodging ; judgment by confession. Fullford v De Coster, claim £35 Is; Mr H. N. Nalder for defendant ; a set-off of £7 was pleaded; judgment for defendant, plaintiff being ordered to pay set-off and costs.
