The schooner Nelson cleared tho Customs, for Oamaru yesterday. The Tower Hill finished her discharge yesterday and was hauled into the Bay. Captain Kennedy reports that he left Gisborne on Sunday morning. About 5 a.m. on the 29th the rudder head carried away. It was blowing a strong N.W. gale with very heavy sea. Eau for Hicks' Bay, steering with the sails, and anchored there shortly after noon on Monday ; lay there till 8 a.m. yesterday. The wind having changed to S.W., left for Auckland, with heavy sea and blowing a gale; did not call at Tauranga. Captain Kennedy was presented with a complimentary address and purse of sovereigns by the passengers. The steamer Pretty Jane was safe at Hioks' Bay. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. Wellington, August 2.
