CHRISTCHURCH. Tuesday, July 30, [Before G. L. Mellish, Esq., R.M.j DbuNKENNKSS. —A first offender was fined ss. John Blythe, similarly charged for the second time, was fined 10s. Obtaining Money Undeb False Pretences. —Edward Driscoll and Thomas Lemon were brought up on warrant charged with obtaining under false representations the sum of £5 10s from James Marlin on the 24th instant. There was another charge of obtaining a further sum of £5. Mr R. D, Thomas appeared for the defendant. On the application of Inspector Hickson, the cases were remanded until Thursday, August Ist. Bail was allowed, the accused in £IOO each, and two sureties of £SO each, in each case, LYTTELTON. Tuesday, July 30. [Before W. Donald, Esq., R.M.] Cattle Trespass— W. Mitchell was fined ss, and costs 4s, for allowing a cow to he at large.
