CHBISTCHURCH. Thuhsday, July 25. [Before G. L. Mellish, Esq., R.M.] Dbunkenness. —Patrick Butler was fined GOa; Bridget Ferrick was fined 20s, and ordered to pay Is cab hire ; Malcolm Mathiiis, alias George Brown, was fined 60s. Previous convictions against them were handed to the Bench. A first offender was fined ss. Transfer op License.—The transfer of the license of the Rising Sun, Caledonian road, from Samuel Freeman to Samuel Bartlett, was granted ; also of the license of the Southern Hotel from William Maples to Samuel Freeman. LYTTELTON. Thursday, July 25. [Before J. T. Rouse, Esq., J.P.] Lunacy from Drink—John Dysart, on remand from Christchurch since JuW 18th, was further remanded until July 261 h. Lunacy.—John Coutts was remanded until to-morrow for medical examination.
