CANTERBURY COURSING CLUB.
A meeting of the committee of this club waß held yesterday afternoon, at the Shades. Present—Messrs Walker (in the chair), Judge, Porter, Duncan, Jerome, Disher, and Anson (secretary). The draws for the Sapling Stakes and for the Canterbury Cup •were taken with the following result: — SAPLINOS.. Flirt v Qncen Bee Markham v Chang Lome v Jessie Young Ridley v Pascarel Chandoa v Cigarette Itlalia v Belle. CANTEEBUKY CUP. Gazelle v Fly _ Verbena v Grizettc Frolic v Tarn o'Shanter Tasman v Cumberland Mechanic v Gienorchy St. Bees v Magic Belle v Diamond Sunbeam v Goll Goll Leo v Gyp Labclle v Bluecap Gill Gill v John EubensT L'Esprit* Russian Emperor v Hiss Gourlay Crackshot v Leßouge Markham v Master Walter Spring- v Sweep. . It was somewhat remarkable that tJiougn. Beveral owners had entered two dogs, and one owner had entered three, in no instance were dogs belonging to the same owner drawn together.
