♦ The Customs duties collected here on Monday, July 22nd, amounted to 4693 7a 4d. The items were:—Wines, £43 16s lOd; spirits, £2BO 8s 9d ; tobacco, £ll9 2s 6d ; cigars, £l4 15s ; tea, £79 6s 6d; sugar, £l6 17s sd; goods by weight, £7lss 4d; ad valorem, £77 10s; other duties, £53 15s. | At the sittings of the Waste Lands Board held on Monday, July 22nd, 7471 acres and 20 perches were disposed of, realising £14,942 ss. The land is situated as under:—Ashley, 905 acres 1 rood 20 perches; Selwyn, 910 acres ; Akaroa, 669 acres; Ashburton, 1464 acres ; Geraldine, 3122 acres 3 roods; Waimate, 400 acres. An adjourned sitting of the Board took place on Tuesday, July 23rd, when 219 acres 3 roods were disposed of, realising £439 10s. The land is situated as under:—Ashley, 69 acres; Ashburton, 150 acres 3 roods. COMMERCIAL TELEGRAMS. Auckland, July 23. Mr A. LAND SALES. On Tuosday the properties known as Collier's Efetate, Moeraki Dowm, and Stoke Grange Estate, near Fernside, were put up to auction. There was a large attendance of persons at the sale, but the biddings were very tame. Mr iiuss, of Matson, Buss and Co., sold the former farms ; Mr Newton, of J. T. Ford and Co.. the latter. A farm of 50K acres on the Cust was purchased by Mr G. W. Wearing at £ll per acre. Messrs H. Matson and Co. yesterday sold privately the farm belonging to the estate of the late Mr W. Chisnall, comprising 140 acres, and situate on the Fendalltown road, for £3500.
