FORTY YEARS’ WAR.

The following short lists of wars in which Great Britain has been engaged since the passing of the Reform Bill (says an English contemporary) will not be uninteresting at the present time. Wo omit various engagements in which wo took part in connection witli the revolutions in Spain and Portugal. It is very remarkable that with scarce an ex. ception in the “rebellions,” “insurrections,” or “ware,” the commencement of all has been in connection with Liberal Governments.
