LAND SALE. Mr C. F. Barker held a Bale of city property at his rooms yesterday. The city property offered comprised thirteen allotments, fronting on Cathedral square, Worcester street, and Oxford terrace, being what is known as the Barker Trnst Estate. There was a very large attendance, and the bidding throughout was fairly spirited, very satisfactory prices being realised for the lots offered. The following were the prices realised : Lot I—Quarter of an acre, having a frontage of 66ft. to Worcester street, and 97ft. to Cathedral square, £77 10s per foot: total, £5155. Mr A. Garrick. Lot 2—Twelve perches, having 22ft. 2in. frontage on Worcester street, £52 per foot; total, £1155, Mr Fletcher. Lot 3—Similar size and frontage, £52 per foot; total £1155. Mr Appleby. Lot 4—Similar size and frontage, £46 per foot; total, £1022. Mr J. Lewis. Lot s—Similar size and frontage, £44 10s per foot; total. £990. Mr J Lewis. Lot 6—Thirteen perches, with 22ft. frontage on Worcester street, £44 10s per foot; total, £999. Mr J. Lewis. Lot 7—Similar size and frontage, £45 per foot ; total, £IOOO 10s. Mr Berkeley. Lot B—Ten perches, with 33ft, 4in. frontage to Worcester street, £32 per foot; total, £1066. Mr E. D. Thomas. Lot 9—Similar size and frontage, £32 per foot total, £1066. Mr E. D. Thomas. Lot 10—Twenty perches, having a frontage of 66ft. Sin. to Worcester street, and 82ft. 6in. to Oxford terrace, £3l per foot; total, £2226. Mr Charles Clark. Lots 11,12, and 13—Twelve and aqmrter perches each, with a frontage of 27ft. 6in. to Oxford terrace, £26 per foot each ; total, £2145. Mr Appleby. Quarter-acre section in Gloucester street East, near the East Christchurch school, £285. Mr Cross. Quarter-acre section, Gloucester street, near Latimer square, £365. Mr E. W. Eoper. House in the occupation of Mr G. L. Mellish, for removal, £BS. Mr Furhmann. Offices occupied by Messrs Blanchard and McIntyre, Oxford terrace, for removal, £4O. Mr Brightling. The total amount realised for the estate was £18764. At the close of the sale of the Barker estate, Mr Barker sold one acre in the township of Middleton for £330; the other sections averaging £SO.
