Malls close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to the neoesssry alterations t— __ THURSDAY, JULY 18. For Otago, overland, at 6 a.m. For Northern Ports and Chatham Islands, per Taiaroa, at 11 a.m. ; late letters, 11.20 a.m. j railway station, 12.10 p.m train. For Nelson, New Plymouth, Auckland, and Cha'ham Islands, per Maori, at 1.50 p.m. ; late letters. 2,10 p.m.: railway station, 2.40 p.m. train. FRIDAY, JULY 19. For Otago, overland, at 11 a.m. Mails per Rotorna will close as under— For United Kingdom, via San Francisco, at 3 p.m,; late letters, 3.20 p.m. For Continent of Europe, America, West Indies, Sandwich Islands, &c., &c., at 3 p.m. j late letters, 3.20 p.m. For Sydney and Northern Ports, at 3 p.m.; late letters, 3.20 p.m. For money orders and registered letters, at 2 p.m For book packets and newspapers, 2 p.m. Late letters may be posted in the guard’s van attached to the 4 p.m. Lyttelton train, provided such letters bear in addition to the full postage a further single rate as n late fee.
