In the first ties the Christchurch dogs Belle, Crack Shot, Gill Gill, Leo, and John haye been drawn favourably in a Calcutta sweep, value £SB 10s. Gill Gill realised £ll, Smoker £6 ss, Hamlet £6, Frolic £5 10s, Tasman £5, Crack Shot £4 ss, others £3 10s and £l. An early start will be made in order if possible to get the cup run through in one day.
