The brigantine Lady Don, from Oamarufor Waitara, with grain, was driven out of her course by heavy weather, and went ashore at Waikato Heads. The vessel and cargo are, so far, believed to be safe. The vessel is insured in the New Zealand office for £7OO, and the cargo in the National for an amount not known. The Marine Surveyor, Clayton, left for the wreck.
The small coasting schooner Helen, with a Portuguese crew, is believed to be lost. She was insured in the South British for £IOO.
The missing fishing yacht returned safely. The dispute over the Grammar School buildings is settled, The buildings are now occupied by the District Court. Wellington, June 29.
The Customs’ revenue received hero for the month of June was £12,202, as against £12,783 same month of last year. For the financial year ending to-day the total customs’ receipts were £185,884, as against £167 885 last year. During Juno, seventy births, fifteen deaths, and twenty marriages, were registered in the city of Wellington. Dunedin, June 30.
A meeting of the Law Society, attended by thirty-eight members, was held on Saturday, to consider an article in the “Daily Times” rc administration of justice in the E.M. Court, They resolved that the article was not without foundation, hut in the absence of evidence in support of specific charges, it was not incumbent on tho meeting to take any action.

The customs revenue collected at Timaru, for June, was £2191 Us Id, showing an increase of £lls lls lOd over the corresponding month of 1877.
