The Iris from Newcastle arrived on the breakwater this morning. SAILING OF THE WAVE QUEEN. The ship Wave Queen sailed on Saturday morning. The wind was westerly and enabled her to speedily clear the land. The Wave Queen is in line trim, and we wisn her commander. Captain Anderson, who has made many friends during his stay in Lyttelton, a pleasant and speedy passage, LOSS OF THE LADY DON. On Saturday morning a telegram was received in Lyttelton from Captain Edward Wm. Gill, master of the schooner Lady Don, stating that that vessel had been been lost (on Waikato Beach, hut that all hands had been saved. This telegram was sent from Drury, and in the evening one came from Mercer, also from Captain Gdl, stating he was afraid the vessel was a total wreck, and that a survey would be held. The Lady Dou has been running on the Coast for many years, and is the property of Mr C. W. Turner, of Christchurch. She left Oamaru about a fortnight ago hound for Waitara.
