Austria and England demand the immediate discontinuance of the Russian occupation of Bulgaria, and that, after the final conclusion of peace, Turkish garrisons occupy the Balkans. Earl Beaconsfield maintains that the continuance of the sittings of Congress fee conditional upon Russia’s withdrawal of her troop from Constantinople, whereupon the Russian plenpitentaries appeal to the Czar, The “ Times” this morning announces that Russia, England and Austria have agreed regarding the boundaries of New Bulgaria[special to the press agency.] London, June 22. The second innings of Middlesex closed for 185. Lyttelton, caught Gregory, bowled Allen. 113 ; Webbe, 17 ; Robertson, 4 (both bowled by Allen) ; Henderson, bowled Garrett, 7 j Salmon, not out 5 j sundries, 3. The

The rainfall is general throughout the colony. Wellington, June 24. The Australia, with the London mails of the 23rd of May, left San Francisco for Auckland on the 10th inst. INTERPROYINCIAL. [PEB PEBSS AGENCY.] Waitaea, June 24. A special train from New Plymouth, bringing the Wellington natives, arrived here at noon yesterday, and immediately afterwards went to Rewi’s quarters, when cordial greetings were exchanged. Rewi, Wetere, and Te Teira, spoke words of welcome on behalf of the Ngatimaniapoto, Waikato and Ngapuhi, Mete Kingi, We Tako, and Manataui Te Whetu on behalf of Wanganui and Ngakalio. Rewi then crossed over to the where in which Mr Sheehan was sitting, and after a short private interview the meeting dispersed. It was rumoured this morning that Rewi is likely to have the meeting postponed in consequence of the small attendance and the nonarrival of Wiremu King, and the unfavourable state of the weather. Napieb, June 24. There was a very strong shock of earthquake |here yesterday afternoon shortly after three. It was also felt in several of the country districts. W Ellington, June 24. In the Magistrate’s Court Mr Travers laid an information against Mr T. K. McDonald, auctioneer, for a breach of the 52nd section of the Law Practitioners Act, 1871, by preparing a conveyance in his office. The defence was that the charge made in connection with the matter was not for the preparation of the lease, but as a commission for leasing the property which the document conveyed. It appeared from the evidence that all the negotiations for leasing the property were made in Mr McDonald’s office. The magistrate took the view that the charge was for commission, and dismissed the information without allowing costs. Kumaha, June 24. Mr George addressed the electors on Saturday night, and a vote of confidence was carried. Mr Fitz Gerald had a large meeting at Goldsborough, and had an unanimous vote in his favor carried. Dunedin, June 24. Messrs Larnach and James Rattray have resigned their position as directors of the Colonial Bank. Messrs Matthew Holmes and J. T. Wright have been appointed to the vacancies till the next meeting of shareholders.
