Lawrence, June 15. The Tuapeka Council yesterday appointed Mr Horace Bastings, their chairman, to represent the Council at the Conference to he held at Wellington. Favorable replies have been received from a number of counties to the proposal made by the Tuapeka Council to ask the Government to place all reserves under the charge of counties.
