The Customs duties collected here on Monday, June 10th, unwanted to £BBB 17s 10d. The items were as follows S -Spirits, £179 5s 9d; wine, £lB 18s 5d • beer, £2l ; tobacco, £9olos ; tea, £72 8s 6d; coffee, £7 3s 6d; sugsr, £164 19s 8d; ad valorem, £lls 14s 8d; goods by weight, £7 16s; other duties, £2OB Is 4d. At the sitting of the Waste Lands Board on Monday, Jure 10th, and continued the following dav. when the Board adjourned, 3638 acres were disposed of, re.lising £7276. The land is situated as under:-Ashley, 1195 acres 3 roods; Selwyn, 547 acres 1 rood; Akaroa, 47 acres; Ashburton, 789 acres 2 roods; Geraldine, 925 acres; Waimate, 133 acres 2 roods. Messrs Clifford and Co. report on their usua weekly sale, June Bth, as follows :—Cattle—Cows, springers, £7 10s to £l2 ; calves, 8s to 10s each. Pi/s— No change to note in this market, quotations remaining unchanged; small stores, 3s to 8s 6d; stores, medium, 9s to 12s 6d; stores, 12s 6d to 16s; porkers, 25s to 30s; sows, 22s to 27s 6d. Poultry— The pens were well filled, and good prices realised. Fowls per pair, 2s to 3s 6d; ducks, 5s to 5s 6d ; geese, fs to 8s; turkeys, 7s to 10s 6d. LAND SALES. Messrs Matson and Co. sold yesterday 5 acres, part of Rickman's farm, on the river Styx, belongfng to George Barlow, Esq., Papanui, at £55 per acre- 2 sections on the Hillmorton estate were bought in at £75 each; a quarter of an acre, being lot 4 on Mr Barlow's property at Papanui, was sold for £95, and the remaining sections were passed in at £BS; sections 22, 23 and 24, a quarter of an acre each on Mr Barlow's property on the Harewood, brought £7O each ; sections 16.17,18 and 19 realised £52 10s each; sections 9,11.13 and 15 were sold for £45 each ; and sections 8,10, 12 and 14 at £42 10s ; section 7 realised £7O ; section 6, £63 ; and sections 4 and 5 were sold respectively for £6O; section 20 was bought for £67; and section 21, £6B; one section, owned by J. P. Bestell, Esq., on Going s road, consisting of 28 perches, was sold for £100; and section 76, on the same property, realised £145. (Several other properties were passed in unsold. Yesterday Mr Buss sold by auction at Eangiora 220 acres in one farm at West Eyreton, known as McGowau's, at £l4los per acre, to Mr Scott Cast.
