The Customs duties collected here on Thursday May 23rd, amounted to £627 3s lOd. The items were as follows :—Spirits, £166 Os Id; wine, £2B 10a; tobacco, £29 12s 6d; sugar, £65 15s 7d ;nd valorem. £2l 18s ; goods by weight, £ls Is 8d; other duties, 6s. THE LONDON MABKETS. The following telegram from London, dated 23rd instant, has been received by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. : Wool—The sales progress firmly. Seedy and burry wools are neglected; lambs, market firm. Up to date 53.000 bales have been sold. Tallow is dull of sale : mutton, 38s 6d; and beef, 37s 6d per cwt. . , , ~ . Wheat— Market quiet. Adelaide is 58s, and New Zealand (old), 49s per 49(31b5.
