The day was fine, and there was a large attendance: — Maiden Steeplechase of 75 sovs. Mr Fleetwood’s Deborah (Stevens) 1 Don 2 Won easily, the field being spreadeagled. The Hack Hurdle Race was won by Mr Sweeney’s Violet. Watts, the rider of Sloper, fell at the first hurdle past the stand, and was injured very seriously. Consolation Steeplechase. Victor 1 Bully 2 Gazelle ... ... ... ... ... 3 A protest was entered against Victor, who won easily.
