CHRISTCHURCH. Saturday, Mat 25. [Before GK L. Mellish, Esq., R.M.] Drunkenness. —One first offender was remanded for eight days for medical treatment. Three other first offenders were fined 5s each. Edward Whitcomb was fined 10s. Creating a Disturbance, —Robert Myre wes charged with creating a disturbance in a licensed house, also with resisting the constable. His Worship reminded prisoner that he had at one time been so affected by drink that he had attempted to commit suicide. The prisoner begged his'Worship not to believe that he would attempt anything of the kind again. A fine of 20s was inflicted upon him. Breach of Peace. —Thotnac Bedford and Thomas Johnson were charged with abreact of the peace within view of a constable. Bedford was fined 10s., and Johnson, who had not been the aggressor, was dismissed.
