POST OFFICE NOTICES.

TVTnila close at tlio Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations: — TUESDAY, MAY 21. For Otago, per Taupo, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.0 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Hawea, at 1.50 p.m. j late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.4 D p.m, train. THURSDAY, MAY 23.! Mails per Rotorua will close as under— For United Kingdom, via San Francisco, America, the Continent o£ Er-ope, Canada, Sandwich Islands, Sydney, Brisbane, Noithorn Ports of New Zealand, &c., at 9 p.m. For money orders and registered correspondence, 5 p.m. For newspapers and book packets, 8 p.m. The English mail per; Eotornallwiil be due at Loudon, July 9th. Post-Office holiday, all local mails nsnally dispatched on that day will close at Cl "istclunch the previous day, 23rd, at S p.m. The delivery window at the Christchurch Office will bo opened for delivery of town letters from 8 to 9 p.m. on the 23rd instant, and applicants are particularly requested to state their addresses in full, FRIDAY, MAY 21. Supplementary mails for despatch per Rotorua •ft PI close at 3 x>.rn., and lace letters may be posted m the guard's van attached to the 4 p.m. train for Lj Helton, provided such letters bear in addition to the full postage a further single rate of postage as a late fee. The Stamp and Registered Letter window at the Chief Office will be opened this day from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., and registered correspondence must bo posted by 3 p.m. All other branches of the office vi ill be closed.
