[PBB PRESS AGENCY.] Palmeeson (North), May 9. A fire at two o'clock this morniDg in Phillips' store totally consumed the building. Tho want of an engine is much felt. If there had been one much property would hare been saved. The store and valuable stock were lost, besides the adjoining building used as a dwellinghousa. The total loss is estimated at £3OOO. The buildings were insured in the Victoria for £SOO, half reinsured; stock, £BOO, in the United, of which £550 was reinsured in the Now Zealand Company.
