POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations„ FRIDAY, MAY 3. For Otago, overland, at 11 a.m. For Northern Porta of New Zealand, per Taranaki, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.40 p.m. train. For Wellington, per Arawata, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.40 p.m, train, SATURDAY, MAY 4. For Otago, per Tiiaroa, at 11 a.m.; Into letters, 11.20 a.m.; railway station, 12.10 p.m. train. Mails per Arawata will close as under : For Otago, Australian colonies. United Kingdom, via Southampton and Brindisi, Continent of Europe, India, China, and the East,Ac., at 8 p.m. Newspapers and book packets, 7 p.m. Money orders and registered letters, 5 p.m. Mail for England, via Southampton, will be duo in London July Bth. Mail for England, via Brindisi, will be duo in London July Ist. SUNDAY, MAY 5. Supplementary mails for despatch per Arawata will close at 8 a.m. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
