asked his Worship to mate an immediate order without remanding accused to Nelson. Accused said lie was willing to pay for the passage of hie wife and family from Nelson, as he could not obtain employment there, and expect-d to get a. situation here during the week. He would be willing to send bis wife £2O for expenses, and to pay passages. His Worship made a formal order for payment of £1 per week, and £2O to be transmitted to Nelson. Mis Worship told accused that when bis wife arrived here the order would be cancelled.
