He and Mr Sheehan will visit Hamilton and Te Awamulu on Monday, and return to Auckland on Wednesday without visiting the King country. The meeting between Sir George Grey and the Maori King will be held on the 16th instant at Hauraki. Several tons of fliur have gone up. The meeting is expected to be large and important. Wellington, April 6. It is understood here that the Stores Department is to be immediately abolished, April 7. Mr Crawford, Resident Magistrate, has demanded from Government that an enquiry should be made into the charges made by Mr Barton against the officials of the Resident Magistrate’s Court. The application was sent in yesterday.
