ROAD BOARDS.
HEATHCOTE. The above Board met on Thursday, the 4th instant, in the boardroom, Ferry road, at 2 p.m. Present —Messrs W. Attwood (chairman), R. Clephane, J. Sand ford, and T. Gr. Motile. The clerk reported the receipts for the fort night to bo £26 9s 6d. The works committee reported on the various works in hand, and recommended that tenders be called for shingling Worcester street east. It was also decided to call the attention of the Drainage Board to the dangerous state of the drain in Stanmore road. Mr Watson interviewed the Board as to forming a culvert on the Sumner road, and it was decided that the works committee report at the next meeting The following correspondence was read and considered—From residents in Woolston rc formation and shingling certain streets. It was decided to let the matter stand over till next meeting. Mr 0. B. Taylor re state of creek by his promises. The clerk to forward letter to Drainage Board. Mr R. J.
