Star of the South arrived from Gore Bay at 6.30 last evening, and sails for Blntf via intermediate ports this afternoon. The s.s. Awar.ita from Wellington arrived at 7 &.m. She sails for Melbourne via S juth this afternoon. A barque and three-masted schooner from the southward were signalled this morning, but were still outside the Heads when our express left. The barque is reported as a very large one, and is supposed to be the Malacca from London. The s.s. Star of the Sonth, from Gore's Bay, via Wellington, wa* signalled when our express left Port at 6 pm. The Sunbeam sailed for Mauritius yesterday morning. The Circe, for Manukiu, cleared the Customs yes.erday, and will sail first slaut of wind. The Australian Sovere gn was berthed at Peacock's Wharf to discharge y sterday. The brig Stir w,is loading at New York for Lytteltou when the mail left. The Ti-evelvan was berthed at the No. 3 Wharf yesterday. The Loch was shifted into the Inchgreen's bsrth at the Gladstone Pier, the latter vessel being moored oui t-ide the Pleiadei to load. 'J he barque Natal Queen, Captain Phillips, left Hobirt Town March 23rd, with light southerly and lay becalmed for two days in tight of land ; then had moderate N'.E. and N. winds ncro-s, making Cape Farewell on April Ist; cleared Cock's Straits iext clay with fresh nor'-wester, which fceld till arrival in harbour on Thurbday afternoon. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. WaKSANW, April 5. The Wallace was towed in by the steamer Murray sent from Nelson. The Wallace left Nelson on Tuesday, and on Wednesday morning, when about 25 miles N.E. "of Stephen's Island, found her padd'ie shaft .injured. The engines were disconnected, and she tried to proceed with one engine and af erwurds by sail; got within four miles of Wanganui Heads, dropped anchor, and signalled for assistance; rodeeasiiyat anchor, and was towed in by the Murray.
