Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to the necessary a i terat io ns Saturday, march 30. For South and Australian Colonies, per Taranaki, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2 40 p.m. train. . 2foteLetters for the Australian Colonies, per Taranaki, mnst be specially addressed. Wellington, Nelson, Westport, Greymonth, Hokitika, and Australian Colonies, per Tararna.at LSO p.m. ; late letters, 2.10 p.m,; railway station, 8.40. p.m. train. , v MONDAY, APRIL 1. For Otago, overland, at 6 a.m. For Northern Ports, per Wanaka, at 1.50 p.m.) late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.40 p.m. train. The next European mail, via Southampt on and Brindisi, will close at Christchurch on or about April 6th. . On and after the Ist April proximo, letters will he delivered by carrier in the Borough of Sydenham, and it is therefore requested that residents in the district will have their correspondence addressed to the street in which Chief Postmaster.
