POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as tinder, subject to the necessary alterations : THURSDAY, MARCH 28. For Kaikoura and North, per Tui, at 4.45 p.m. Guard's van must not be used for Tui's mail. For Wellington and Northern Ports, per Taiaroa, at 1.50 p.m. ; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.40 p.m. train. For Otago and Australian Colonies, via Hobart Town, per Albion, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m.: railway station, 2.40 p.m. train. FRIDAY, MARCH 29. For United Kingdom, via San Francisco, Continent of Europe, America, Canada, Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, and Sydney, at 1 p.m.; late letters, 1.20 p.m. For newspapers and book packets, at noon. For money orders, at 11 a.m. For registered letters, at noon. Late letters for the above mails can be posted in the guard's van attached to the 2.40 p.m. Lyttelton train, provided such letters bear in addition to the full postage a further single rate of postage as a late fee, The English mail per Rotorua will be due in London on May 14th. The American mail, per Rotorua, will be due in San Francisco on April 25th. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
