A CONTRADICTION.
v ■■■■■■■ *>-To the Editor of the Globa — [Imnr Sir, —I noticed in your paper of last week a statement made against me, and it is false. My husband has put that in to annoy me. He has got me out of one situation and he cannot find where I am now, so he is putting me in the paper to destroy my character. He is such a drunkard and abusive that I can’t live with him. He gave his consent for me to take the children and I did so, never to trouble him or he me, but he came after me to impose upon me, and I then went to service. He has taken almost everything for drink, and I have no home to go to He has also taken my children late at night from beer shop to beer shop, cold and hungry, until he has made them ill. Sir, I hope you will take notice of this and put what you think proper in the letter. Yours, &Ci, MARY WHEELER. P.S.—Will answer no further correspondence after this.
