NORTH OTAGO RACES. » [By Telegraph.] Oauaku, March 8. Most of the horses engaged in the Oamaru races, which take placo on Monday and Tuesday next, have arrived. The meeting promises to be the fineßt ever held in the district. The betting is—North Otago Turf Club Handicap—3 to 1 agst Ariel; 4to 1 agst Bide-a-Wee, Templeton, and Fishhook ; 5 to 1 agst Hippocampus, Mireille, Blue Peter, and Maritana; 8 to 1 agst Unknown ; 10 to 1 agst the others. Tradesmen's Handicap—3 to 1 agst Foul Play, Titania, Ariel, and Templeton; 4 to 1 agst Izaak Walton, Mireille, and Blue Peter; from 6 to 10 to 1 agst the others. Eclipse is favourite for the Hurdle Race at about 3 to 2.
