OHRISTCHURCH. Wednesday, March 6. [Before G. L. Mellish, Esq., R.M.] Drunkenness.—Annie Osborne was fined 20s. False Pretences.—Thos. Foster charged with obtaining money by false pretences from Mr Watts, of Doyleston, was remanded until Monday. Bail was allowed in one surety of £2O, accused in same amount. Assault.—A charge against Henry Bush, barman at the Southern Hotel, for assaulting John Herd by throwing a jug at him, was remanded until Monday. Mr Joynt appeared for the accused. Bail wss granted in ono surety of £lO, accused in £2O.
