POST OFFICE NOTICES.

Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to necessary alterations THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 28. For Otago, overland, at 6 am. For South and Australian Colonies, per Albion, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.40 p.m. train. _ , For Wellington and Wanganui, per St. Hilda, at 4.45 p.m.. Late letter box, guard’s van, must not be need for the St. Kildas’s mails. FRIDAY, MARCH 1. For Otago, overland, at 11 a.m. For Wellington, Nelson, Westport, Greymoutb, and Australian colonies, per Tararna, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.40 p.m. train. Mails per Rotorua will close as under : For United Kingdom, via San Francisco, Continent of Europe, America, Canada, Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of Now Zealand, and Sydney, at 1 p.m.; late letters, 1.20 p.m. For newspapers and book packets, at noon. For money orders, at 11 a.m. For registered letters, at noon. Late letters for the above mails can be posted in the guard’s van attached to the 2.40 p.m. Lyttelton train, provided such letters bear in addition to tRe full postage a further single rate of postage as a late fee. Tho English mail par Rotorua will be due in London on April 16th. The American mail, per Rotorua, will bs due m San Francisco on March 28th.
