4 notice. dunstable HOUSE, cjashel steeet, CHRISTCHURCH. WE have Ready for Sale, all the remains of oar Season’s Stock of FASHIONABLE COSTUMES, PLAIN AND FANCY MATERIALS FOR DRESSES, Millinery, Flowers, Feathers, Parasols, Scarfs, Grenadines, Dress Muslins, &c., &c. Although we do not, on this occasion, publish our usual catalogue of articles for sale and the reductions in price shown thereon, We still have sufficient variety to show onr customers a good assortment, and we venture to say that much as we have sacrificed goods of thesb classes, at the end of the previous seasons we have never given such inducements to purchasers as we shall place before them on this occasion. Unusually Liberal Discounts have been marked on Men’s Mercery, Hats, Caps, Shirts, Uunderclothing, &c., and also on lien’s, Boys’, and Youth’s Clothing of our OWn importation as well as those manufactured by ourselves from Mosgiel Tweeds. As our London buyer, Mr Gurney, has largely overshipped us in many useful lines of Plain Goods, we shall dispose of a lot at less than wholesale rates during the next fourteen days. Our half-yearly stock-taking and balance is fixed for the 19 th of February, we therefore propose to wind up this clearance on Saturday, the 16th February. As the time is short and the season an inconvenient one for our country customers, many of whom will not be able to call, we have made special arrangements for the prompt execution of all orders received by post, and also requests for patterns or other information. In some instances the quantities are limited, we therefore respectfully solicit an early call or an order. Visitors who call for the purpose of inspection only will as usual meet with the most marked attention. ONE SHILLING OFF EVERY POUND PURCHASED FOR CASH. J. BALLANTYNE & CO., DUNSTABLE HOUSE.
