The schooner Zior, for Oamaru, and the Minnehaha, for Dunedin, sailed this morning. ENGLISH SHIPPING. [From the “European Mail.] The James Wishart.—A nameboard painted black, with James Wishart on it, in yellow letters, has washed ashore at West Kapelle. [The James Wishart (Mitchell), from London to Canterbury, N.Z., was off Portland ou November 17th.] The Celestial Queen, barque, of and from London for Nelson (N.Z.), whilst working up to a sheltered berth in Portland Roads, on November 24th, collided with the Wausbock, of and from Shields for Torre del Mar, which was at anchor. The Celestial Queen lost jibboom, and received other slight damage. The Wansbeck, which was struck between the main and mizen masts on the port side, had rail split, stanchion, backstays, and braces carried away: also main topgallantmast and waterways started, &c. Both vessels have been surveyed. Pleiades, for Canterbury (N.Z.), from Deal December 14th, off Bt. Catherine’s Point (1.W.), 17th. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. ARRIVAL OF THE CTiY OF SYDNEY FROM SAN FRANCISCO. Auckland, February 14, Arrived—City of Sydney. The passage was prolonged by unusually heavy gales and a confused sea. Passengers for New Zealand—Messrs Rolph, Fisher, Jackson, and Conroy. Wellington, February 14. Arrived, 6 a m.—Star of the South, from Lyttelton, via Gore Bay. Wellington, February 14. It is reported that Captain Carey, of the Tauno, has been appointed to the Rotorua, and that Malcolm, of the Wonaka, is to take command of the Tanpo, the captain who has had charge of the Rotorua to bo transferred to the Taranaki. Port Chalmers, February 14. Arrived, 1.10 p.m.—Wakatipu, from Lyttelton.
