Mails close at the Chief Post Oißoe for the following places aa under, subject to necessary alterations • SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 9, For Otago, overland, at 6 a.m. and 11 a.m. For Wellington and Nelson, per Star of the South, at 11 a.m.; late letters, 11.20 a.m.; railway station, 12.10 p.m. train. For Kaikoura and Wellington, per Tui, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.40 p.m. train. For Otago, per Taiuroa, at 11 a.m.; late letters, 1.20 a.m.; railway station, 12.10 pm. train, MONDAY, FEBRUARY 11. For Otago, overland, at 6 a.m. Mails per Arawata will close as under— For United Kingdom via Southampton and Brindisi, at 1 p.m.; late letters, 1.20 p.m. For the Australian Colonies, Continent of Europe, India, China, and the East, Otago, &e., at 1 p.m. • late letters, 1.20 p.m. Money orders must he ebtained before 11 a.m. Books and newspapers, noon. Registered letters, noon. Late letters for mails per Arawata can be posted in the guard’s van attached to the 2.4op.m.Lyttelton train on the 11th inst, provided snch fetters bear in addition to the full postage a further single rate of postage as a late fee. London mails via Southampton will be due at London, April 15th. London mails via Brindisi will he due at London, April Bth. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
