THE WELLINGTON MEETING. [FEO3I the cobeespondent of tee peess.] Wellington, February 6. It has been raining here all day, but the glass is rising, and there seems to be every chance of a line day to-morrow. For the Weight for Ago Hurdle Race, which is the first event of the day, I fancy Grey Momus, who will have Mclvor as pilot, with Ta Whetumarimara, who is a strong local favorite, second. For the Derby Trump Card must win, and the Flying Stakes should go to either Isaac Walton or Standard Bearer ; but they are both uncertain. If Kukapo should • be in anything like his old form ho must be formidable. The Maiden Plate will be won, I think, by Mufti, as Pinfiro will probably be reserved for the W.J.C. For the W.J.C. Titania or Pinllre, with Gleniry as the likeliest outsider. The betting is about the same as sent yesterday. [pee peess agency.] The acceptances for the following handicaps were declared last night alter ten o'clock:— FLYING STAKES.
