The dredge Erskinc was successfully placed on tho slip on Monday night, and the to the dredging plant generally are proceeding with great alacrity. As before stated, when the Erskine comes off the slip, and whilst she is fitting her machinery, the Sumner will go on and bo overhauled. The Opawa is rapidly completing her loading, and •will be a fall ship in a day or two. She sails on Saturday. , . The Ellora was safely berthed at the Gladstone Pier yesterday morning. She is the largest vessel that has yet been moored inside the breakwater, being 1727 tons, end her length, 280 feet, exceeds considerably that of ‘ho Desdemona, which came next in size to thi XII ra of all vessels yet berthed at the Gladstone ier. The St. Kilda finished loading from the Elb a yesterday morning, and sailed at 1.50 p.m., the Oi ward, schooner, then taking her place alongside the barque to load.
