Although we do not, on this occasion, publish our usual catalogue of articles for sale and the reductions in price shown thereon, we still have sufficient variety to show our customers a good assortment, and we ventare to say that much as we have sacrificed goods of these classes, at the end of the previous seasons we have never given such inducements to purchasers as we shall place before them on this Unusually Liberal Discounts have been marked on Men's Mercery, Hats, Caps, Fhirts, UunderclothiDg, &c, and also on lien's, Boys', and Youth's Clothing of our own importation as well as those manufactured by ourselves from Mosgiel Tweeds. As our London buyer, Mr Gurney, has largely overshipped us in many useful lines of Plain Goods, we shall dispose of a lot at less than wholesale rates during the next fourteen days. Our half-yearly stock-taking and balance is fixed for the 19 th of February, we therefore propose to wind up this c'earance on Saturday, the 16th February. As the time is short qnd the season an inconvenient one for p,ur country customers, many of whom will not be able to call, we have made special arrangements for the prompt execution of all orders received by post, and also rf queßta for patterns or other information. In some instances the quantities are limited, we therefore respectfully solicit an early call or an order.
