EXCURSION TRIP TO WELLINGTON

To the Editor of the Globe.

Sir. —On reading an advertisement in the "Press" last week to the effect that the Wellington Jockey Club was about to make arrangements with the Union Steamboat Company during the races in Wellington, and believing that I with many friends would have an opportunity of g ing there at a more moderate fare than usual, I went accordingly to secure my return ticket, but to my surprise I was asked tho usual every day fare. Surely between the club and the company such arrangements might have been made as would have held out inducements to us here in Ch'ifctchurch to visit tb« Wellington races. Yours, &c, DISAPPOINTED.
