Taiaroa Fails for Northern Ports this afternoon The barque Fllora arrived from Calcutta, via Adelaide and Melbourne, this morning. The Ellora, with comsacks, is expected from Calcutta. , „, The Cleopatra was shifted to the No. 3 wharf to load. The Maud Graham was berthed at the Breastwork to discharge. The Wellington " Post" of Saturday last says—- " We reeret to learn that Captain Macfarlane, the skilfnl and nopnbr commander of the s.s. Rotorna. has been compelled to rosism in consequence of ill health. An old friend (Captain Kennedy) lias been appointed to the command of this fine steamer. Captain Kennedy eoes on with the Hawea this trip, end assumes the charge of the Rotorua onher next trip from Drmedin to S3 T dney." SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. Bluff, January 30. The Tararua left Melbourne on January 23rd. at II p m.; arrived at Hobart Town on the 2Sth; left on the 2Cth; had fine weather until arrival at the Bluff at 11 to-day. Brings sixty saloon and thirtynine steernsre passengers for all ports. In the saloon, for Lrttelton—Messrs Dawson (2), Captain Miller. Captain Walker Smith, X. essrs Mills, Cotteiill, Hammond, Reece, Bailantyne, Mesdames Young. Macpherson, Cotterill; three in steerage. She sails at 4 p.m. for Dunedin. Wellington, January 30. The following are shipping reports from the Melbourne Underwriters' Association:—At HorgKong, 16th. January, Normauby. from Sydney via Cooktown, arrived December 20th ; on November 27th, the Sir James Fives Family, and December 23rd, Salisbury, from Sydney.
