To the Editor of the Globe. Sir, —I have read in the Globe o£ Tuesday, January 22nd, a letter signed S. Q-ilkes, and I wish to state, through your valuable columns, that there is no such person as Joseph Doig living in the neighborhood spoken of by S. Gilkes, and that there was no such witness as Joseph Doig in the case of abusive language heard in the R.M. Court on Monday, January 22nd. I, the undersigned, wish to state that I have no correspondence with the parties O’Neill and Gilkes. Hoping you will give space in your valuable columns for this explanation. Yours, &c., JOHN DOIG.
