LYTTELTON. Saturday, January 2f5. [Before W. Donald, Esq., R.M.] Drunkenness. —Jane McMahon was fined 10s for this offence, or, in default, forty-eight hours. Assault. —James Talbot was accused by his wife of assaulting her, on Monday last. This was a wretched domestic squabble, arising from incompatability of temper. Mr H. N. Natder appeared for complainant. Both parties seemed to desire a separation, and the Bench adjourned the case for a week, to allow of conditions being drawn out.
