CITRISTCHUECIT. Wednesday, January Ifi. [Before Ur. Donald, E.M.J Drunkenness. —James Wood was fined 20s.—Henry Eoot.li, charged with “lunacy from drink, and who was still suffering from its effects, was remanded to Lyttelton for a week. City By-Laws. —Harry Ell, Jum, summoned for riding across the foothpath in St. Asaph street, was fined 10s. —A case against A. McKenzie, charged with allowing horses to wander at large, was withdrawn, as the defendant had been summoned under a wrom Christian name, and the constable who laid the information had left Christchurch. LYTTELTON. Wednesday, January 16. [Before H. R. Webb and J. T. Eouse, Eeqs., J.P.s.j Drunkenness.— o. Thornton, arrested by Constable Moutrny, was fined 10s, or, in default, forty-eight hours. Civil Cases. —Cole t Dczousa, claim £7 17s, for board and lodging and money lent; Mr H. N. Nalder for plaintiff; judgment for amount claimed, costs 18s, solicitor’s fee 21s. A cross summons against Cole was dismissed. Holmes r Hornby, claim £5 8s fid for rent due; Mr H. N. Nalder for plaintiff; judgment for £1 4s
