Novel Shipment.—The " Hokitika Star " states that an application having been received from Mr Stead of Christchurch, for some beach shingle to be forwarded to him for the purpose of the formation of garden walks, 100 bags of the required commodity were shipped to his order per s.s. Maori. This appears a novelty in the list of exports from the West Coast.
