POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to necessary alterations THURSDAY, DECEMBER 27. For Otago, overland, at 6 a.m. For Akaroa and Otago, per Taupo, at .11 a.m.; late letters, 11.20 p.m.; railway station per 12.10 p.m. train. For Otago, per Maori, at 11 a.m.; late letters, 11.20 a.m.; railway station, 12.10 p.m. train. For Sydney and Northern ports, per Wakatipn, at 1.50p.m.; late letters, at 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.40 p.m. train. For Wellington and Westport, per Luna, at 3 p.m.; late letters, 3.20 p.m.; railway station, per 4 p.m. train. For Kaikoura aud Wellington, per Tui, at 4.45 p.m. The late letter box, guard’s van, must not be used for Tni’s mails. FRIDAY, DECEMBER 28. For Otago, overland, at 11 a.m. For Wellington, Nelson, and Australian Colonies, per Alhambra. Hour of closing see future notice. MONDAY, DECEMBER 31. For Chatham Islands, per Island Lily, at 9.30 a.m. The nest English mail, via San Francisco, closes on or about January 4th, 1878. SYDNEY J. DICK. Chief Postmaster.
