POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to necessary alterations• MONDAY, DECEMBER 24. For Otago, per overland, at 6 a.m. For London, per Crusader, at 8 a.m. Letters must be specially addressed “per Crusader.” For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Ringarooma, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station per 2.40 p.m. train. For Kaikoura, per Tui, at 4.45 p.m. The late letter box, guard’s van, must not be used for Tui’s mails. Important.—Tuesday next, the 25th instant, being a postal holiday, all branches of the Post Office will be closed. Local mails usually closed at 6 a.m. and 6.30 a.m. respectively, will be closed at 8 p.m. on Monday, the 24th inst. ' SYDNEY J. DICK. Chief Postmaster.
