CHRISTCHUECH Tuesday, Dkcemuer 11. [Before G. L. Hellish, Esq., R.M.] Drunk kn> t ess. —Charles Dee was fined IDs, and a first offender ss. By.HACii of the Peace.—George Smith, charged with striking a woman, was fined 10s. Breach of City Bye-Laws.—Henry Smith, summoned by the city inspector for shooting'rubbish on Cambridge terrace, wae lined 10s and costs 6s <>d. LYTTELTON. Tuesday, December 11. [Before W. Donald, Esq., B.M.] Stowaway.—John McGregor, a stowaway on board the s.s. Taupo, was ordered to pay £2 12s fid, passage money due to the Union S.S. Co., before January 11th, or, in default, to be imprisoned for one week. Breach or Pfblic-hocsk Ordinance. — John Cameron, licensee of the Mitre Hotel, was charged with supplying liquor during prohibited hours. Mr Nalder appeared for the defence. Case dismissed on payment of costs, 10a. Cattle Tkssi'ASS. Thomas Newton, Win. Holmes, Win Mitchell, undßoberfc Smith were fined 5s each and Is cysts, for having one head of cattle astray. Messrs Garfortli and Lee, for having two head astray, wae fiue4 10s and is coete.
