GENERAL ASSEMBLY.
[by telegraph, per press agency.] HOUSE OP REPRESENTATIVES.] Friday, December 7. The House met at noon to day, and adjourned for a short period several times to enable conferences with the Council on various Bills to sit. The business has been purely formal. Additional items of supplementary estimates are to bo considered at 7.30 p.m. At 2.30 the Appropriation Bill is to come down. The House will probably be prorogued on Monday by commission. Manymembers leave to-night. The Hinemoa takes others North to-morrow. LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. Friday, December 7. The Council met at two o’clock, and, after appointing managers and holding conferences, succeeded iu coming to satisfactory terms witli the House of Representatives on the Land Bill, Destitute Persons Bill, and Waste Lands Sale Bill. The Lyttelt on Harbor Works Compensation Bill passed all stages. Certain amendments proposed by His Excellency in the Financial Arrangements Act Amendment Bill were agreed to. The Council meet again at 7.30 p.m.
