The Especnlador arrived this morning from Newcastle with a full cargo of coal. The ship Langstoue arrived at Napier on December 3rd, all well. ... , Captain Hayes, of the schooner Alert, reports speaking the J. G. Oolesou off Cape Campbell, o2 days out from Lyttelton, for Hokitika. She had lost her fore-topmast, and wished to be reported. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s ship Waitangi has almost completed her loading, having upwards of 4000 bales on ooard, and the remainder of her cargo is in port. She will be all stowed and ready for sea on Saturday next. The Eaugitikei has fairly begun to load, and will be dispatched about the end of the present month, as wool is coming to hand very fast. The ships of the company to bo sent from Lyttelton this season will he dispatched in rapid succession, and, as they will have wool cargoes, they will he in excellent trim, and should make good passages to tho old country. A new screw steamer was launched from the establishment of Messrs Holmes and Newborn, Auckland, last week, ami was christened the •• Mohaka,” after the name of a river on the East Coast, where the vessel’s fntnre labors are to he utilized. The steamer has been constructed for Messrs Murray, Common, and Co., of Napier and Wellington. The Mohaka is of 38 tons register; she is 60 feet in length, with 13 feet beam and 6i feet depth of hold. The little steamer has been fitted with a cabin for twelve passengers. CLEARANCE OF THE MEEOPE. This ship cleared last night. Besides a full cargo, she takes 11 passengers.
